How do I share large files with my class or teaching team?

Each Canvas course site comes with 2gb of storage for files stored in "Files" and embedded into pages. This includes images, but does not include videos housed within Panopto. This amount of storage is typically sufficient.

Canvas's security level suffices for sharing documents up to L3, which is again sufficient for most courses (see security requirements By Data Security Level | Information Security Policy (harvard.edu)).

If this amount of storage is insufficient, it is recommended that a class Sharepoint site be created. See this information on creating and managing Sharepoint sites at Harvard (harvard.edu).
