HGSE Alumni Access to Canvas
You have indefinite access to your Canvas course sites, as your Harvard Key is for life
We recommend making a note of your HUID, as it can be used as your Harvard Key login name instead of an email address. Please note you will lose your GSE email address 365 days after graduation.
Is your Canvas dashboard empty - or do you appear to be missing courses?
Fear not! If you do not see your previous courses on your dashboard, go to Courses > All Courses to see your Past Enrollments.

Please note - indefinite access to your Canvas course sites does not mean you have access to everything you did as a student.
Library Reserves Tool & HOLLIS
The Library Reserves Tool in Canvas is deactivated at the end of the academic term. If you would like to retain access to items provided by the Library Reserves Tool following the end of the course, we recommend you download and/or backup the files.
After graduation, access to materials housed in HOLLIS will be limited though not completely removed. See the HGSE Alumni Library Services page for more information.
Materials hosted on Canvas
Materials (documents, page content, and images, for example) hosted on the course site are accessible after you graduate (assuming the instructor does not remove them).
Please note: this does not include access to course materials with limited copyright, which may be restricted after the official course end date.
External links (websites, etc.) will also remain, but they may break or expire as past courses are not updated.

Panopto Videos and Lecture Captures
Access to Panopto videos is typically lost after two years.
You will retain your GSE email address for 365 days after graduation.
Other Applications
After graduation, you will immediately lose access to:
- Zoom.
- Slack.
- Harvard VPN.
- Adobe Software and Creative Cloud Storage.
- 1Password.
Along with your email, your Microsoft365 account will remain active for 365 days including your Outlook calendar, Sharepoint, and OneDrive.
